A CPA since 2003, Wesley (Wes) Jones has eight years of public accounting experience. He started his career working for a "Big 4” accounting firm where he gained extensive experience working with large and medium size companies, including several publicly traded companies. He also has several years of experience working at a large regional firm as well as at a local firm. In addition to his years in public accounting, Wes has two years of experience working for private companies in their accounting departments, including one year at a Fortune 500 company.
It was during this time that Wes gained a thorough understanding of the nuts and bolts of accounting and taxation of small to large businesses as well as individuals. During his time working in corporate accounting management, he realized that he missed the personal interaction and the sense of helping people succeed that came during his years working in public accounting. It was at that time he decided to fulfill the lifelong dream of opening his own accounting practice, which he achieved when he opened his doors for business in June 2011.
Wes is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alabama. He is originally from Norcross, Georgia and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1997. In addition, he has a Master's of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001.
Wes and his family moved to the Gulf Coast in 2008 as his wife Kelly desired to be closer to her family in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and to open Kelly's pediatric dental practice in Spanish Fort, Alabama. He and Kelly have a son named Brooks and a daughter named Sullivan. He enjoys spending time with his family, participating in church activities, outdoor sports, and college football.
